Registration for the 2017 Ledgestone Insurance Open presented by Discraft is upon us! Our hole sponsors will get first crack at registering on February 1st. Through this option, a hole sponsor has to pay $75 on top of their entry fee to get into the event. Players who register through this option also get a Limited Edition disc. One month later registration will open for MPO players with a rating 970+ or better and FPO players with a rating 900+ or better and all age protected professional divisions. On March 8th the chaos will continue as registration will open for all AM divisions. Finally, registration for everyone else will begin April 1st. DGPT card holders will have a guaranteed spot in the event until June 3rd. Entry fees are similar to last year except for a $50 drop in entry fees for age protected professional divisions. Registration will once again take place at disc golf scene.
We are making some big improvements compared to the 2016 event. First of all, we are eliminating stroke and distance at the Lake Eureka Temp Course. Also, MPO players will play all four of their rounds at the Lake Eureka Temp Course, while FPO players will play two rounds each at Sunset Hills and Northwood. We are also making further improvements to both Westwood Park and Wildlife Prairie Park to improve safety at those courses in the event of inclement weather. In addition, MA1 will be the only division to play those two courses. We have also hired a Director of AM Experience so the AM players get an even better experience. Finally, we are changing our refund policy to better protect the player. The tournament will once again boast a record payout and will be a part of the Disc Golf Pro Tour. Do not miss out!
