Who is leading the 2021 Ledgestone Insurance Open?

Tied 1stRicky Wysocki and Calvin Heimburg at 17-under par
3rdEagle McMahon at 16-under par

Game-changing moment: Hole 11 provided a pivotal moment in the round. Drew Gibson and Calvin Heimburg seemed to be getting hot at the right time and were beginning to push the rest of the field. Both found themselves buried in the rough off the tee. And neither one could save par, with Heimburg settling for a bogey and Gibson for a double bogey.

Both players appeared rattled after Hole 11 and each carded a bogey on the next hole. Though Heimburg stabilized and held on to his 17-under par overall score, Gibson slipped off the pace, dropping three strokes behind the leaders.

Standout Stat: Cale Leiviska shot up the leaderboard by 14 spots in round three. He did it by successfully scrambling to save par or better every time he was off the fairway. During a round where he missed the fairway 38-percent of the time, his 100-percent scramble percentage was impressive. Only two other players in the field scrambled at better than 80 percent (Paul Ulibarri at 88 percent and Matt Orum at 86 percent).

Highlights of the Day: There were two aces for the day. Garry Patton found chains on Hole 16 and Andrew Presnell smashed the basket on Hole 17.

But another major highlight came from the lead card with Drew Gibson starting the round 3-under par through two holes after drilling his upshot on the par 4 Hole 2 from over 280 feet away, sending roars through the woods of Northwood Park.

Kyle Klein collects his putt on the treacherous Hole 14.

Eagle McMahon delivers a forehand on his second shot on Hole 13.
