Ever think you have what it takes to beat a pro?

Team Ledgestone member Andrew Presnell was taking on all comers in a CTP competition on Hole 18 at Sunset Hills Wednesday afternoon.

Groups of five to six competitors each took their best shot to top the pro. More often than not there were a few lighthearted groans from the gallery as Presnell parked shot after shot on the downhill 393-foot Par 3.

“It’s really fun. I’ve never done a contest like this before. Being sponsored by Ledgestone it’s another thing I can do to contribute to the fun of this tournament,” Presnell said.

While Presnell mostly dominated, a few souls did manage to sneak shots inside of his Buzzes and Drones.

One of them was Riley Steiner, who parked his “old run” Z Force just a couple feet short of the basket, a few paces in front of the pro’s toss for that group.

“Old run is the key,” Steiner said about his disc selection. “I knew I had a good chance being a lefty throwing into the hill. It was cool beating the Discraft pro with a Discraft disc.”

Steiner, who will compete this weekend at Ledgestone in the MA1 division, picked out a Crystal Flex Sparkle Meteor as his victory prize.
