FPO Recap: Round 1

Who is leading FPO at the 2022 Ledgestone Open?

1st - Kristin Tattar at 5-under par
Tied 2nd - Missy Gannon at 4-under par
Tied 2nd - Lisa Fajkus at 4-under par

Quote from the leader: “I don’t think it was perfect,” said Tattar. “I was throwing the disc very well, but I had some trouble with my putting. I really like this course and I like the shot-shaping here. It really fits my game and I feel really comfortable out here.”

“Sunset Hills has a lot of birdie opportunities. Every hole is a birdie opportunity. I need to focus and get my putting game back on.”

Game-changing moment: After starting the tournament 1-over-par through the first seven holes, Team Ledgestone’s Missy Gannon caught fire, birdieing holes 8 through 12. It is the first time an FPO player has ever birdied five straight holes at Northwood Black.

Standout Stat: Hole 18 was the hardest hole on the day, averaging 0.78 strokes over par. Over half of the field recorded a bogey or worse on the finishing hole. Of the 50 total competitors only one player recorded a birdie: the current leader, Kristin Tattar.

Highlight of the Day: Erika Stinchcomb stepped up to hole 11, still looking for her first birdie. Instead of a birdie, she aced. Stinchcomb played the 260-foot, left-to-right moving hole perfectly and recorded the only ace of the day.
