Ledgestone Disc Golf is happy to announce the molds that will be released to vendors for the 2024 Ledgestone Limited Edition disc program. This year’s Ledgestone Limited Edition discs will be released over 4 different waves. The plan would call for approximate releases in December 2023, February 2024, April 2024 and June 2024. Ledgestone will also have limited discs available exclusively at the Ledgestone retail website throughout the year and will have a special wave during the Ledgestone event. This announcement is the 1st in our Twelve Days of Ledgestone promotion.
With this announcement, Ledgestone is doing a 30% off sale for any Ledgestone LE discs on the site. These include any of the special Wave discs and Ledgestone exclusive LE discs that the team has dropped throughout the year. This sale will only run today, December 9th exclusively at the Ledgestone retail website. This discount will be above and beyond any other discounts offered. “We wanted to add some extra value with our 12 Days of Ledgestone promotion this year, and that is why we are offering these daily, exclusive discounts,” said Heinold.
Coming up with the disc schedule is always a unique challenge for Ledgestone TD Nate Heinold. “Over the years it has become more challenging to try to differentiate the discs we run each year to satisfy what everyone wants to see. It’s not easy to pick what we do, but that is part of the fun,” said Heinold. One of the main benefits for the Ledgestone program is bringing back molds that do not get a lot of attention in stock runs, or molds that are out of production. “A lot of these older discs have great markets, and sometimes releasing these older discs in limited run will reinvigorate fans of that disc, or bring new fans to certain discs,” continued Heinold. One of those molds has been the Nebula. “We brought this disc back a few years ago, and now Ezra, Ben Callaway and Chris Dickerson all rock the Nebula and want to get their hands on more of them,” finished Heinold. Ledgestone is also spending additional resources in 2024 to make sure stamps are more unique compared to the offerings that were available in 2023.
In order to help demand for the product, Ledgestone did make a decision to run slightly less molds and have smaller production runs in 2024. “Based on market conditions and how hard it was to promote so many molds, we did make the decision to slightly reduce the number of molds in our program for 2024 by reducing the count by 3 molds and spreading the releases over 4 drops instead of 3 drops,” said Heinold. Instead of dropping 15 molds for three drops, the team will drop 6 molds in the first drop and then 12 molds in the following three drops. This gives the marketing teams of the participating vendors an easier time to promote all of the new products and allows the Ledgestone team to spend more energy on promoting less molds, allowing a higher quality product to get to the market in terms of disc and stamp quality.
The Ledgestone fundraiser discs are one of the primary fundraising methods for the tournament. “All of the vendor support for these discs really helps make Ledgestone what it is. We are extremely grateful to all of the vendors who have supported us over the years,” said Heinold. Vendors supporting the event at the top level include the following vendors:
