Ledgestone Disc Golf is thrilled to announce that they will be taking over the United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship (USADGC) and running that event from 2024 and beyond. The event, commonly known as AM Nats, is also releasing its new logo. This announcement is the 8th in our series of announcements titled the Twelve Days of Ledgestone.
With the day 8 announcement, Ledgestone is offering up an automatic discount for any Team Ledgestone items at the Ledgestone retail website. This special will only run today, December 16th exclusively at the Ledgestone retail website. Ledgestone sells items for players such as Andrew Presnell, Ben Callaway, Brian Earhart, Michael Johansen, Paige Shue, Sullivan Tipton, Alexis Mandujano, Micah Groth and others. Ledgestone donates a significant portion of the sale of each player item directly to the players to help keep them on the road.
The Ledgestone Disc Golf Team took over DGLO in 2021 and it was a natural fit for the Ledgestone team to add this event into their schedule. “Our team has worked closely with the Michigan Disc Golf Organization the last three years to turn DGLO into one of the best events on the tour. We have successfully meshed together our Ledgestone team with staff members in the Great Disc State of Michigan and look forward to working with the Michigan team on the USADGC,” said Nate Heinold, TD for this year’s event.
This year’s United States Amateur Disc Golf Championships (USADGC) will be contested over three rounds on the Toboggan Course June 7th through the 9th. The event team has worked closely with Discraft on several design changes at the Toboggan course over the last 3 years, with some of those changes being featured in this year’s AM Nats layout. Discraft will remain the title sponsor of this event. The USADGC is one of only two Amateur Majors contested each year and will crown the best Amateur player in the world on one of the toughest tests in disc golf. The Toboggan Course, known for its elevation, is a physical and mental test that demands pinpoint accuracy with elite distance. The course, known for its thick rough, is the perfect test for this invitational event. Tiered registration will follow this schedule:
- 970+ as of the February PDGA ratings update: Registration will open 2/22/24 at 7PM Eastern
- 950+ as of the March PDGA ratings update: Registration will open 3/21/24 at 7PM Eastern
- 940+ as of the April PDGA ratings update: Registration will open 4/18/24 at 7PM Eastern
More information about the event will be released on the tournament website this winter!
