What is Ledgestone?
Ledgestone is a multifaceted disc golf company dedicated to promoting the growth and sustainability of the sport from the local to Elite levels. In 2026, Ledgestone will host four Elite-level events—the Supreme Flight Open, the Ledgestone Open, the DGPT Championship, and Discraft’s Great Lakes Open (AM A-Tier)—along with four Majors: the USADGC, Champions Cup, Pro Worlds, and Masters Worlds.
The company also operates four online stores, hosts numerous local events, and designs and develops disc golf courses.
Position Overview
Ledgestone Disc Golf is hiring a full-time team member focused on Tournament Planning and Delivery. This position is ideal for someone who knows disc golf deeply and wants to contribute meaningfully to the planning and execution of some of the largest tournaments in the world.
The role involves year-round event planning, documentation, logistics, course preparation, on-site execution, and post-event teardown. The selected candidate will work closely with Ledgestone’s tournament operations team and travel to select national events throughout the season.
Primary Responsibilities
Tournament Planning and Coordination
- Assist with planning and coordination for Ledgestone’s tournaments.
- Track timelines, logistics, assignments, and asset needs across multiple events.
- Help prepare caddie guides, course maps, schedules, and other player-facing materials.
- Manage updates to registration pages, event documentation, and operational plans.
- Assist with volunteer coordination, sponsor requirements, and event communications.
- Help stage, organize, and track event assets before and after each tournament.
On-Site Event Execution
- Support course setup, including tee signage, OB rope, spectator areas, and sponsor activations.
- Assist with the setup of tents, retail areas, flymarts, and branded event infrastructure.
- Work with the on-site team to maintain a smooth player experience and overall event flow.
- Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, players, vendors, and partners.
- Help troubleshoot operational issues as they arise during tournament week.
- Participate in event teardown, equipment recovery, and post-event organization.
Travel and Team Collaboration
- Travel to select national events in Florida, Virginia, Michigan, and Illinois.
- Work closely with the Director of Tournament Operations and a multi-skilled event team.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure deadlines and event requirements are met.
- Remain flexible and responsive during demanding tournament weeks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Disc Golf and Event Requirements
- Strong disc golf knowledge is essential, including rules, formats, tournament structure, and course elements.
- Passion for the sport and an interest in Elite- and Major-level event execution.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions during long tournament days.
- Willingness to perform hands-on setup, teardown, and other physical event tasks.
Professional Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and effective teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects, tasks, and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, and general office software.
- Ability to remain composed and solve problems in a fast-paced event environment.
Physical and Practical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual event setup tasks.
- Reliable transportation and residence in or near the Peoria/Washington, Illinois area.
- Willingness to work some weekends and extended hours during major events.
- Ability and willingness to travel for select tournaments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at disc golf tournaments or playing competitively.
- Prior event operations experience in sports, festivals, logistics, or a similar environment.
- Experience coordinating volunteers, vendors, or event partners.
- Familiarity with tournament registration platforms and event-management tools.
- Experience preparing event documents, maps, schedules, or operational plans.
Schedule and Compensation
- Status: Full-time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with additional hours during event weeks
- Compensation: Salary based on experience
