2020 Ledgestone Insurance Open Refund Policy

  1. The only way to withdraw from the event is by going into your original confirmation email from Disc Golf Scene and requesting a withdraw through Disc Golf Scene. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official for the purposes of withdrawing. The tournament director’s email is [email protected] and this is the best way to contact the TD.
  2. On 3/13/20 the PDGA released new guidance to the Competition Manual affecting AM divisions. Effective on that date the tournament has adopted this policy for refunds for AM players moving forward. The policy can be read here but is addressed in item 3: https://www.pdga.com/announcements/pdga-competition-manual-103-withdrawals-and-refunds-amended-temporarily
  3. Amateur players requesting a refund at any time will receive their full player’s pack. This year’s player’s pack is worth $500 and the actual cost to the event of the players pack is higher than the $145 entry fee. Due to the size of the players pack (which includes a Grip bag), players will be asked to help cover the shipping costs, which are estimated to be around $25. Ace and 50/50 funds will automatically be used as part of covering these costs.
  4. Players in professional divisions who officially request to withdraw from the event prior to (or on) July 13th, 2020 will receive a 100% cash refund, minus a $10 fee.
  5. Players in professional divisions who officially request to withdraw from the event between July 14th and July 28th, 2020 will receive a 100% cash refund minus a $10 fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled from the waitlist. If the player's spot is NOT filled, we will provide a 50% cash refund.
  6. Players in professional divisions who officially request to withdraw from the event between July 29th and August 9th, 2020 will receive a 100% cash refund minus a $10 fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist. If the player's spot is NOT filled, we will provide either a 25% cash refund.
  7. Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from playing in the event, do not show up for the event, or try to withdraw after August 9th, 2020 (which is our drop date) forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or players pack. There are no exceptions to this rule.
